WHAT IS CELEBRITY SIDEOUT?

Celebrity SideOut is an unprecedented fusion of music, volleyball, philanthropy and crowd interaction that will be touring nationwide.

It's a three-day affair consisting of 5 events: The Celebrity SideOut exhibition, dinner & afterparty, youth & adult clinics and a charitable component.

What is the Celebrity SideOut Exhibition?

Imagine Pros vs. Joes meets Streetball at Rucker Park played out on a beach volleyball court with a DJ blasting music -- in other words, a giant beach party!

The format (see here for full format) for Celebrity SideOut is a fast-paced King of the Court style featuring 2 Pro Beach Volleyball Players versus 16 talented locals dubbed "The Weekend Warriors." We also throw in some fun twists like "Target Practice," where the pros get to serve at the Weekend Warriors to see who can handle the heat from the AVP's "Server of the Year" in 2022 & 2023 (Taylor Sander).

After playing with and against the pros and making lasting memories on the court, we all go out to dinner and an afterparty so they can get to know them in a more relaxed setting. Fans are encouraged to join the afterparty and attendance is free for all events.

The concept comes from NYC's own DJ Spin Easy, a former opener for Snoop Dogg and USA Soccer's DJ for two World Cups.

Aside from being a world-class entertainer having performed in 10 of the top 20 clubs in the world, Spin Easy has been a volleyball enthusiast for the past three decades -- even contributing to Volleyball Mag, organizing tournaments and mentoring younger athletes.

Spin brings the music and energy while Olympic Volleyball Pros Taylor Crabb & Taylor Sander provide the on-court entertainment.

Known as "Team Taylor" on the AVP circuit, they've been the most-watched team for the last few years and are known for putting on a high-flying show.

What do you do for philanthropy?

Each event kicks off with "Philanthropy Friday," where we'll spend time teaching volleyball and giving basic DJ lessons to underprivileged or mentally/physically disabled youth. For example, we've spent time at local Boys & Girls Clubs and worked with autistic children through Aid Another.

We also donate a portion of the proceeds from the weekend back to the local volleyball club(s) hosting us.

Do I have to pay to participate in the exhibition or clinics?

Yes, you'd have to pay a fee to participate as a Weekend Warrior or to secure one of 24 spots in the youth or adult clinics. Dinner is included for Weekend Warriors. Otherwise, attendance for fans at all events is free.

What is the mission?

Our goal is to grow the sport of volleyball in the most entertaining way possible, so we're giving fans and amateurs the most intimate experience they'd ever have with two athletes in their primes near the top of their sport.
